Our History
Kerry David and his family moved to Tahoe in 1973 for what was to be a short vacation and has been here ever since! Once the decision was made to stay in Tahoe, he was hired by the international certified public accounting firm, Harris, Kerr, Forster, to work in their Zephyr Cove office. After leaving HKF in 1976 to try his hand in the gaming industry at the Sahara Tahoe, Kerry quickly decided to return to public accounting in the summer of 1976. He was offered the position as a partner in the firm, Limb, Patterson, David & Co. and remained with that firm until he opened his own office in Zephyr Cove in 1979.
In 1982, Kerry was approached by Pannell, Kerr, Forster and asked to become a partner in their Reno based office. His practice was merged with PKF through 1984, and it was at this time that Kerry and Bill Johnson had the opportunity to first work together. Due to the costs of participating in an international firm, Kerry wihdrew from PKF to return to a solo practice. In 1986, Bill joined the firm, and he became a principal in 1993. Michelle Larsen joined us in 2002, and she became a principal of the firm in 2009. And the rest is History!
